Diablo 3:The Masterpiece

So, let’s take a step back into the past. May 15, 2012 to be exact. This was the release of one of my personal favorite games ever. Not just because of its ability to be the easiest game while also being extremely hard.  It’s because of Blizzard’s cutscenes that aged extremely well, and the way how each character reveals a piece of who you are as a person. Most people think that they choose their character on random, or because they look cool (Which some really do look impressive).

Yet in reality, we choose these characters based off of ourselves in any game, from our choice of weapon or a style of fighting. We all have our own ways to play, some like being up close and dishing out tons of damage in large amounts, others like staying back and controlling the fight from further away. In my experience with Diablo I feel like they have the diversity that people can enjoy beyond the average, kill these goblins to level up. No, you are able to choose between 5 separate classes.

With those classes, as you level up you can change your skills to also show how differentiated your ability level is. It’s extraordinary that you can change every single ability. Then throughout the game you are able to collect gems that you can infuse into your gear… What I am getting at is that this game is so customizable that it is beyond what a lot of other games have. Thing is, most of the other games came after the release of Diablo 3.

There are also random events that can occur throughout your time in the game. From a small goblin that, if killed, you gain a ton of gold which can be spent on countless items, including a creature called Nemesis, that is insanely hard to fight for, that usually comes out when you are already in the middle of doing a task where you are constricted in your movements.

Diablo also has expansive worlds that can take hours of exploration to find every secret. Meaning, there are hours of written dialog and experiences. Yet, if you don’t care about all of that, you can go and enjoy the story with its twists and turns. Blizzard though, didn’t just stop when they had an amazing story. They used cutscenes to show you the beauty and power of these entities. With that, I’ll leave the rest of this lovely game for you, the player to experience for yourself.
