Skills for Living Class Has a Mini-Preschool Day!

On Wednesday, the 11th of February, the Skills for Living classes participated in a mini-preschool day! Kids from around town came by during 2, 6, 7 and 8th period to play in their already-made activities. During eighth period, we stopped by and asked about the activities! They ranged from making kinetic sand stress balls, making paper rainbows, sticking your hand in a fun mystery box, a scavenger hunt, and a homemade maze. Check out the pictures to see the kids in action!

We interviewed Ms. Waite, the Skills For Living teacher, and she explained that the purpose of this activity is for students to learn the physical, intellectual, and social development of children from birth to preschool. The students had to create an activity that would help children develop any of these four aspects, as long as they are able to adapt the activity for the children, and are able to work in action with the kids.

Jordan and Sophia had a bunch of fun visiting eighth period, and even made their own stress balls!
