Ah, yes, it’s that time of the year again. Oh, you don’t know what time I’m referring to? It’s when a bunch of theater geeks come together to kindly ask for donations to support their musical production. For the second year in a row, the AHS Musical Theater group is using a convenient way to ask for support: online donations. That’s right, folks. You simply click on the link (attached at the end of the article if you’re feeling generous) and select an amount you’d like to donate, write a nice little message, and voila! It’s as simple as sending a streak on Snapchat. Musical season has just begun (and is already starting to fly by) and the cast has been working extremely hard at rehearsals to give you, the audience, the best show possible. If you don’t already know, the show this year is Into the Woods, featuring performers on stage ranging from freshmen to seniors, and even some junior high students helping create the production behind the scenes in stage crew. We even have some staff from The Parrot crew in the show, including Sandy Smith, Ethan Strong, Julianne Brown, and Jonas Anziano.

The AHS auditorium will be filled with excitement and music on March 7, 8, and 9th, so make sure you get the chance to witness your talented classmates. Tickets are $8 for students ($10 at the door) and $12 for adults ($15 at the door), but you better grab them fast — the entire middle section is sold out for each night! I can’t promise that you’ll make it “home before dark” but you will certainly enjoy a trip “Into the Woods” this year. Check out the link below if you’d like to support the cast and crew!
