Appetizer Delight

Hello everyone, today I will be making a small appetizer. While small, it tastes amazing nonetheless. Here are boneless buffalo wings and tater tots. Now, the ingredients go as followed:

  • 2 cups neutral oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch strips
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 peeled potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt and pepper mix

Step 1: Scrub and cut the potatoes into large chunks in a bowl. Mix the potatoes with the corn starch, garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of the salt and pepper mix.

Step 2: Preheat oven to 400 and spread a layer of oil on a skillet and start making ball shaped, thumb sized potatoes. Form them into tots. Place in the oven until golden.

Step 3: Heat oil in a pan to 375 and add some butter (varies depending on the size of pan you use). Combine the salt and pepper mix, flour, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a large bowl. Whisk the egg and milk together in a separate bowl. Start forming pieces of the chicken into little cutlets or balls. Place the piece of chicken into the egg and milk then the flour mixture then repeat it for each piece of chicken twice to get a nice coat. Put in the fridge for about 30-40 minutes.

Step 4: Fry the pieces of chicken in the pan with the oil, 5 to 6 minutes a piece.

Step 5: Take the tots out and season with salt and pepper. Now you are ready to eat! Enjoy your little appetizer.
